KalingaStone Quartz’s Kitchen Counter Tops Now In Beige
Kitchen Eleganza - Crema Scuro
Mumbai, October 2016: Beige seems to have become the color of the season in kitchen décor with discerning home makers opting for it over other colours. Crema Scuro, the beige quartz made by KalingaStone – a Classic Marble Company (CMC) brand for engineered stones, is in demand for countertop installations in both classic and contemporary kitchens. From its Eleganza series, the classic beige Crema Scuro renders flexibility to the kitchen for accommodating any light and dark shades of décor. The subtle appearing stone sets a perfect backdrop as much for kitchen utilities as it could for any other countertop applications. Custom developed for counter-top installations, KalingaStone Quartz, the engineered tough slab of quartz in beige is a fine fusion of appeal and utility.

Being one of the hardest stones used in utility applications, quartz amongst other stones has the longest lifespan and doesn’t weather under the harshest conditions. The stone is non-porous and hence is highly sanitary and stain-resistant. As kitchen counter-top, despite bearing constant change in temperatures ranging in extreme heat from the cook-tops to the chilled foods or beverages from the refrigerator, the quartz remains unaffected. Also, a kitchen has all the possible ingredients like lime, vinegar, soda, salt, turmeric, among others and which are strong enough chemicals to cause damage to applications. Quartz surface can withstand these without any staining or corroding and does not require any special maintenance either. This makes it an ideal choice for applications in kitchens whether as worktops, backsplashes, or even floors, typically in hotels.

Crema Scuro is available in standard dimensions of 335 cm × 165 cm and thickness of 12 mm, 15mm, 20mm and 30 mm. For kitchen applications, besides its latest introduction CMC’s KalingaStone quartz range includes a bespoke collection of colour, design and pattern. Typically a slab of quartz, irrespective of its application purpose will have a standard polished, glossy surface. Its surface will display a varying degree of silica presence which adds sparkle to the stone and some are as minute as granules while others are very prominent.

Marble, Marble On The Wall

KalingaStone Launches ‘Terra’ For Walls
Living Room Wall Cladding_Petra Series_Terra
Mumbai: India’s leading brand for engineered stones, KalingaStone has announced the launch of its latest marble product - Terra under its existing Petra series. Manufactured by Classic Marble Company (CMC), the product is aimed at aspirational décor for both residence and commercial spaces and has been developed especially to quench the present limitations in wall cladding applications. The application areas can range from interior wall cladding for living rooms, kitchens, or other areas including bathroom walls to covering huge exterior walls.

The marble, quite aptly named Terra, has an earthy appearance, however is smooth in texture and seamless in installation. A uniform grainy surface pattern throughout its surface form a subtle wall background for any articulated landscape, antiques or furniture to stand out.

Terra, as wall cladding renders a contemporary European appeal to the space with minimalist styling, leaving much to be played by accessorizing. Depending on the taste of the occupant and the utility, the walls could adorn a host of relics to add a rustic aura to the space. Whether hung with a vintage photo frame or an antique wooden casket pushed up the wall or even a simple brass wall clock could act as the ingredient that adds flavour to the room.

Being an engineered marble, Terra does not break or chip easily and is scratch resistant. Its smooth texture is easy to clean thus making it apt for exterior and bathroom spaces too. Inspired by its Italian lineage the marble has a look and feel that is almost as rich and real as natural marble and is available in standard dimensions of 304 X 125 cm and thicknesses of 12 mm, 16mm and 18 mm. The large format of the stone allows designer professionals to create unique artistic combinations of small and big stones and trendy geometrical designs. Beautiful carvings or unique finishing on a marble wall in the living room can put art itself into perspective.

of beige and grey. Slushy swirls are the characteristically distinct patterns in all of four varieties of the series. Combining technology, design and aesthetics the latest range are a visual treat and offer an exhaustive choice of applications.

As represented in the images, the Otteman Beige and the Raffale are typically installed as floors that dispense an air of elegance to the space while the Paladio Grey, as the wall with its dark accentuated swirls on the grey background works as a complimenting feature for the space. The Tivoli displays an uncanny resemblance to its Italian counterpart and is perhaps one of the few that are reminiscent with the stones used in Roman architecture. Not the Pantheon but in the contemporary context it could be installed in the bathroom as flooring, counter as well as the wall, as seen in the image.

Its characteristics of being less porous, more flexible and harder than natural marble make the marble an obvious choice for different types of interior and exterior applications like flooring, walls, counter-tops, etc. in commercial as well as residential areas.

NEW RANGE FROM KALINGASTONE TO REVOLUTIONISE CONVENTIONAL PERCEPTION OF MARBLE

NexGen Engineered Stones Break Aesthetic Barriers

Felini as Flooring and Mocca Marmo on Back Wall
Mumbai: India’s number 1 stone company, Classic Marble Company (CMC) has announced the launch of a new collection of GenNex engineered marble under its flagship brand Kalingastone. Nine new products, a collection of rare marble designs, engineered with top quality raw materials sourced from across the world and by using state of the art imported machinery, are expected to mark a new beginning in the sphere of engineered marble.

Vikas Kesarkar,Vice President
-Marketing, CMC
“We have combined technology, design and aesthetics to introduce engineered marble like none before. The new series have a look and feel that is almost as rich and real as natural marble. Our design team has broken many aesthetic barriers with the new launch. The series will be path breakers in more ways than one,” says Mr. Vikas Kesarkar, Vice President – Marketing, CMC.

Inspired by its Italian lineage, the new set of engineered marble have been christened as Nero Portoro, Rosso Levante, Felini, Grigio Cristallo, Mocca Marmo, Luna, Pietra Serina, Marcello and  Grigio Aurelio.

Nero Portoro and Rosso Levante carry abstract designs on dark backdrops with striking bronze and ivory patterns that are interspersed through the entire slab. When wall mounted, the installations accentuate the beauty of the area, be it a bathroom or a study. Felini, Grigio Cristallo, Mocca Marmo, Luna, and Pietra Serina are subtly styled for mostly flooring applications. While Felini and Grigio Cristallo are shades of beige, the former being lighter than the latter, Mocca Marmo has contemporary brown shade. Luna and Pietra Serina are variants of the colour grey. All these marble exhibit the same grainy gradient throughout the surface of the slab. Both are excellent choice for application in stairways. In fact, a mix and match of these marble can add a rich appeal to the installation.
Marcello on Floor

Marcello, meanwhile, is contemporary beige marble which has the design that replicates marble as found naturally. The patterns of white depict the water currents of a flowing stream against the muddier background of beige. The stone is more familiarly seen as flooring in office lobbies or even in residential applications in living rooms or bedrooms.

Grigio Aurelio, basically classified as grey marble has fragmented silica chips ranging from micro, small to medium sizes and appears beautifully as table tops as well as in framing French windows.
A scaled up installation of the product gives a grandeur look to the space or can also be customised as per the requirement of a buyer. The newly launched range is a perfect blend of beauty and utility and is ideal for every application, be it residential or commercial.

“CMC introduced Kalingastone with the very intent of giving people the selection of installing marble of choice while keeping it affordable. Our latest range is a well-planned and meticulously designed portfolio of marble and this innovation will certainly create another benchmark in the segment. We are positive that our new range of products will be appreciated by the end users. We will continue to innovate and strive to deliver better products from time to time,” concludes Mr. Kesarkar.
