AAP CANDIDATE FOR NORTH MUMBAI, SATISH JAIN TO FILE HIS NOMINATION

To Travel By Local Train To Symbolically Represent The Aam Aadmi

Mumbai: Satish Jain, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP’s) North Mumbai Lok Sabha candidate will file his nomination tomorrow, Friday 4th April, 2014 at the Commissioner’s office in Bandra. Mr. Jain along with volunteers will board a Borivali local at around 9:45 am from platform no. 8. Mr. Jain will seek blessings and wishes from the Aam Aadmi travelling with him and will spread the party’s message of eliminating corruption for a better India.

“The local trains symbolize the Aam Aadmi of Mumbai. For an occasion as auspicious as filing of nomination, the local trains were our natural choice,” said Satish Jain, a former top-ranked fund manager in Asia. After alighting the train Mr. Jain along with volunteers will walk it up to the elector’s office distributing pamphlets and topis and sweeping the roads with the party’s election symbol the broom.

Mr. Jain has been campaigning with active support of residents and volunteers from the Dahisar - Malad belt. He’s been listening to people’s issues by reaching out to people with his Padyatra’s and holding open discussion forums with people in Jansabaha’s organized by his office.

“If I get elected, I intend to start working on the most basic premises like water, electricity and infrastructure in which the constituency presently lacks. Bringing in transparency into the system and wiping out corruption are top priorities for me,” said Mr. Jain.

Satish Jain’s entry into politics is preceded by an impressive track record in the financial sector. Rated by many surveys as one of the top fund managers in Asia, Satish’s career spanned eighteen years in the financial sector and included stints with Morgan Stanley and HDFC as Executive Director and Portfolio Manager. Allied with Arvind Kejriwal since the India Against Corruption (IAC) movement and inspired by the same, Satish Jain has quit his lucrative career to join full time politics. He is one of the 317 candidates fielded by AAP for the current Lok Sabha elections. Other candidates fielded by the party include, Mayank Gandhi from Mumbai North West, Medha Patkar from Mumbai North East, Meera Sanyal from Mumbai South, Phiroze Palkhiwala from Mumbai North Central and Sunder Balakrishnan from Mumbai South Central.
